Our family loves to have adventures. On any given weekend, you’ll find us exploring, hiking, or traveling. However, despite our love for the new and exciting, we often find ourselves traversing the same places because they’re comfortable and we like them. Don’t get me wrong, when you find a place you like, it can be nice to become a patron, but if your goal is to discover new places and have new experiences, it’s important to takes steps to make that goal a reality. In order to become more involved in our city and to mix up our outings, we decided to put together an Indy bucket list.
Our first step was to sit down together and make a list of all of the places we’ve been wanting to visit but haven’t yet. The next step was to post our bucket list in a prominent place in our home. We chose the coat closet door so that we’ll see it every time we come home. I hung some yarn, added some clothespins, and wrote each bucket list item on a paint chip sample (which you can get for free at any store that sells home paint). Overall, the project didn’t cost a cent and helped us avoid the “what do you want to do today?” “I don’t care; what do you want to do?” conversation.
Without further ado, here’s our 2016 Indy Bucket List:
