Fall is officially here! Time to bid farewell to summer farmers’ markets and say hello to autumn craft fairs. Each show features goods from local artisans, from decorative home goods to holiday gifts and accessories, making for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Check out this list of some Indy-area favorites. 

Historic Irvington Halloween Festival Street Fair

Where: Downtown Irvington – Indianapolis, IN
When: Saturday, October 29th from 10:00-5:00 pm
About: A true community celebration, the Historical Irvington Halloween Festival has been taking place for over 75 years! On Street Fair Saturday, small business booths run up and down Washington Street. Hand Crafters Row, on Bonna Avenue, features dozens of local artisans and artists.

Center Grove Craft Fair

Where: Center Grove High School – Greenwood, IN
When: Saturday, November 5th from 8:00-3:00 pm
About: This popular craft fair serves as a fundraiser for the Center Grove High School football program. With over 150 booths, this show emphasizes handmade products and is known as a “marketplace for arts, crafts, and specialty items.”

St. Luke’s UMC Holiday Bazaar

Where: St. Luke’s United Methodist Church – Indianapolis, IN
When: Saturday, November 12th from 9:00-3:00 pm
About: A far cry from the traditional church-based show, the St. Luke’s Holiday Bazaar features 120 artisans. Goods are handcrafted, and proceeds fund several local and global charities. The first 100 guests receive a special gift, so be sure to arrive early!

Westfield Band Boosters Holiday Craft Show

Where: Westfield High School – Westfield, IN
When: Saturday, November 19th from 9:00-3:00 pm
About: With over 160 vendors, the Westfield Band Boosters Holiday Craft Show ranks as one of the largest all-handmade craft fairs in the Indy area. Booths line the high school’s fieldhouse and offer various unique products.

Artisan Holiday Market

Where: Beach Grove High School – Beech Grove, IN
When: Saturday, November 26th from 9:00-2:00 pm
About: The Artisan Holiday Market has a little something for everyone, including clothing, home decor, and handmade items. The first 200 visitors receive a swag bag of goodies.

Gingerbread Christmas

Where: Plainfield High School – Plainfield, IN
When: Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00-3:00 pm
About: The oldest fine art and craft fair in the area, Gingerbread Christmas, showcases handcrafted products from over 130 vendors.

Hoosier Handmade Craft Fair and Winter Market

Where: Johnson County Fairgrounds – Franklin, IN
When: Saturday, December 17th from 9:00-3:00 pm
About: Hoosier Handmade is a bi-annual event that features dozens of diverse artisans and artists. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and an interactive scavenger hunt make this a fun event for patrons of all ages.

Parke County Covered Bridge Festival

Where: Parke County, IN
When: October 14th-23rd
About: Considered the mecca of Indiana fall craft fairs, the Covered Bridge Festival is worth the drive! The fair runs for ten days and hosts shows across ten different locations, including Rockville, Mansfield, and Bridgeton. Each setting boasts a vendor specialty, and guests are encouraged to visit more than one location.
