I will admit it, I’m a sucker for Fall.  Bring on the boots, blanket scarves and all things pumpkin.  But one of our favorite parts of season will always be football.  My son recently wrapped up his second year of flag football so now my husband and I are in total Game Day mode.  Unfortunately my husband’s favorite team (I won’t mention the Irish or anything) are having a bit of a rough year.  Therefore we compensate their losses with two of our other favorite “f” words – friends and food.  I mean, we can totally eat our feelings while we enjoy some good company, right?

My mom raised me to be the “hostess with the mostest.”  When it comes to my Game Day spread, I’m going to go big or go home.  Normally I go for all finger foods – chips and dip, mini meatballs, cheese and crackers, and all the cookies.  Foster Farms Crispy Chicken Tenders are a staple in my house.  They are so easy to throw onto a tray and toss into the oven for a quick dinner.  The family is also a huge fan which makes it a win for everyone!!  Sometimes I will bake up a tray for our guests but this time around I decided to create little chicken sliders that make perfect Game Day munching.  The prep was easy, they looked adorable on the platter and the sandwiches were gone in a matter of minutes.   Quite honestly, I’m not sure why I didn’t think of these little guys earlier!

As you can see, the recipe is fairly simple and you can easily add your own twist with buffalo sauce to make it spicy or ranch to tang it up. enjoying-foster-farms-chicken-slider My son is a super picky eater and the fact that he ate not one but TWO sliders is a miracle in itself.  The sweet rolls combined with the crispiness of the Foster Farms chicken tenders made these sliders the perfect game day snack for all of my guests!  I am already planning new ways to spice these babies up for our next Game Day gathering.

Before we know it, this amazing Fall weather will creep away and football season will be over.  While we can’t bet on our teams winning every time, at least I can promise my friends and family some tasty treats and good company!

  1. Foster farms makes such a wide variety of products that they have something for every taste. The corn dogs and frozen breaded chickens have become a staple in our freezer.
