My Top 3 Local Birthday Party Spots

birthday partyI love planning, decorating, and hosting parties at my house! But, I have recently come to appreciate outsourcing birthday parties to local businesses so save my time and sanity. We all love the tried and true locations for birthday parties like SkyZone, Smiley, and Urban Air. But whether because you’ve already had parties there before or you just want to do something different, I’ve listed my top three local outsourced birthday party locations below as some really great options. What are some of your favorites? Comment below what other local places you love, and don’t forget to bookmark this when you or a friend are in need of ideas in the future!

  1. Moonshot Games (Noblesville)
We had my son’s eighth birthday party here, and it was awesome! They hosted us for an amazing Pokémon-themed birthday party, including a “Professor” who taught the kids how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, how to spot fake Pokémon cards, and other fun activities. The game shop is so cool and located on the town square in Noblesville (I highly recommend it for buying gifts for kiddos, whether you host your party there or not). They have several party rooms upstairs above the shop (I’ve even thought it would be so fun to rent one for a game night—they’ll even provide the games!), and they did all the decorating for me! I was even able to pay them to make the Pokémon-themed favor bags (such a time saver!). All I did was show up and bring food (we went with Happy Meals from McDonald’s) and cupcakes. The “Professor” really ran the show, so I was able to sit (ahem, stand) back and take photos and watch the kids have so much fun.
  2. YES Gaming (Fishers)
I haven’t hosted a birthday party here, but my son attended a friend’s birthday, and he had loads of fun! YES! Gaming is an Esports gym and gaming center in Fishers, off 116th St. and Cumberland Road. They have a couple of different rooms with various gaming systems (some PCs, some PlayStations, some Xboxes, etc.), and the kids can play different video games. There was a separate room for food and presents, and the family provided pizza and cake that party guests enjoyed between rounds of gaming. They fit so many kids (at least 10!) —so this was a great deal, letting so many friends enjoy esports at the same time. There was something there for everyone, and they had a blast! Fun fact: this local business is the home of the Mudsock Youth Esports for the 2025 season.
  3. Busy Bee Cafe (Indianapolis, but basically Zionsville)
We recently attended a birthday party at Busy Bee, and both of my kids (age 9.5 and almost 6) both had SO much fun! This is on the Northwest side of Indianapolis, almost Zionsville. I was a little worried about my nine-year-old feeling out of place at our family friend’s three-year-old birthday party, but he was loving it! They have a moderately sized climber with slides and a bounce area, along with plenty of free space for imaginative play. Along one wall, they had a whole little village of a dentist, post office, restaurant, etc., that was so cute! There was even a small stage with all sorts of dress-up clothes. The party guests had so much fun running around all of these areas for the majority of the time, and they had a great room reserved for snack and cake time. The cafe was available, and you’d better believe that this mama got a delicious iced coffee to enjoy while I watched my kiddos run around! Though I’ve only been a guest, I would totally recommend this location for a little one’s party.

Whether you’re planning a big bash or a small get-together, Indianapolis has so many great places to celebrate your child’s special day.
