Winter on the Prairie at Conner Prairie

Thursdays through Sundays during the month of February, Conner Prairie is hosting Winter on the Prairie! “Winter on the Prairie is a one-of-a-kind way to experience everything Conner Prairie has to offer. Grab your boots and mittens as you journey across acres of nature to explore. Discover the tranquility and beauty that can only be found after a fresh snow. Then, join the residents of Prairietown and warm up by the hearth as you take in the smells of the food on the fire.”

Pokémon League at Books & Brews in Brownsburg

Books & Brews in Brownsburg is hosting their Pokémon League on February 1st from 6:00-8:00 pm. All ages and experience levels are welcome on the first and third Sunday of each month – have fun battling!


February 2nd

Groundhog Day & Folklore at Cool Creek Park

While no one can predict the end of winter, Cool Creek Park can provide education about all things groundhogs! Click here for more information on this fun and educational event, where there will be discussions, crafts, and activities on February 2nd at 3:30 pm to celebrate Groundhog Day. No registration required.


February 6th

Indy Ignite versus Grand Rapids Rise

Indy Ignite is turning up the heat at the Fishers Event Center, and you can head to a home game in February! Indy’s professional pro volleyball team is playing the Grand Rapids Rise on February 6th at 7:00 pm. If that game doesn’t work out, check out their schedule online for the rest of the month.

Toddler Trek at Turkey Foot Park

Grab your winter coats and head to Turkey Foot Park for Toddler Trek! Best for kids four years old and younger, Toddler Trek helps you and your kiddos get out of the house and experience nature, which has numerous benefits for your child’s physical and emotional well-being. And the event is only one hour, from 10:00-11:00 am.


February 6th-7th

Blue Man Group at Old National Centre

Grab your tickets for a fun experience with your older kiddos – Blue Man Group at Old National Centre from February 6th-7th! Blue Man Group is best known for its widely popular theatrical shows and concerts that combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment.


February 8th

Turtle-y Love You at Painting with a Twist

Turtle-y Love You is a fun, Valentine’s Day themed painting class on February 8th from 2:30-4:00 pm at Painting with a Twist in Indianapolis. This class is designed for kids with simple, fun art. And what’s cuter than a turtle with hearts on its shell? This class is for kids eight years old and up, and the class starts at $32 per person.


February 11th

Tadpole Time at McCloud Nature Park

Come learn about snow and make your very own paper snowflakes to take home at Tadpole Time at McCloud Nature Park. You’ll read a winter story, then craft and decorate snowflakes. If it has snowed out, your little ones can go out and play in it! This class is recommended for kids aged 2-7 and a parent/guardian must to be present with the child. Registration is required by February 4th, and you can register here.

February 17th

Free Movie Series: A Minecraft Movie

No tickets are required for the Free Movie Series at the Schrott Center for the Arts. On February 17th at 7:00 pm, enjoy the action-packed Minecraft Movie. Four misfits are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into a bizarre cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home they’ll have to master this world while embarking on a quest with an unexpected expert crafter.


February 20th-22nd

Geofest at the Indiana State Museum

There is something exciting for everyone to explore at the 23rd Annual Geofest at the Indiana State Museum. There are three days and three floors of “rock, mineral, and fossil vendors along with hands-on activities and community partner displays.” Plus, in honor of America’s 250th birthday, dive into the history and impact of Indiana’s geological makeup by exploring the past and future of paleontology and geology with fun activities. Meet a paleontologist and learn about the impact our Founding Fathers made in this field.


February 22nd

Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Our beloved Indiana Pacers will be playing the Dallas Mavericks at 5:00 pm, and you and your family can go cheer them on!


February 25th

Dancing with the Stars Live

See the DWTS ballroom brought to life onstage for Dancing with the Stars Live! You will get to see some of your favorite Dancing with the Stars pros, PLUS special guest stars! “With dazzling routines in every style, jaw-dropping talent, and non-stop entertainment, it’s sure to be an unforgettable night full of all the magic of the TV show and more!” Get your tickets here.


February 27th

Indy Fuel “Hockey is for Everyone” Night

No matter who you are, hockey is for everyone! Indy Fuel is celebrating inclusivity within the sport we all love as the Fuel take on the Iowa Heartlanders on February 27th at 7:00 pm. Stick around after the game for postgame autographs presented by DeFur Voran with select Fuel players right outside The Garage.

Andrea is a SAHM and Project Manager for Indianapolis Moms. She lives in Noblesville with her husband Dan and their two kids, Jonathan and Sarah. They are involved at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck.
