Goodbye snowflakes, hello sunshine! May has officially hit the Circle City and we will welcome it with open arms! While many of these summer days will be spent having fun and making memories with the kiddos, it’s also time to enjoy some alone time with your partner. There are so many fun places to visit and things to do in the city, but I have narrowed it down to my five favorite date night ideas to enjoy together.
5. Tibb’s Drive-In Theater
Pack a picnic dinner, grab a couple of blankets and snuggle up at a classic drive-in movie! And not only do you get to see one movie but your admission price covers two different movies.
4. Symphony on the Prairie
Buy a table by the stage or spread a blanket out on the lawn and enjoy an evening listening to music from all genres include the Beach Boys, the Eagles and even Michael Jackson!
3. Brewery Tour
Jump on a bus and tour local breweries downtown Indianapolis or in Broad Ripple – the bus even come equipped with coolers to keep your growlers cold while you tour!
2. Easley Winery
Taste wines or tour the winery at Indiana’s oldest family-owned winery! Just make sure you visit on the weekends if you want a tour because public tours aren’t available during the week.
1. Victory Field at Indianapolis
Grab a hot dog (or some amazing nachos) and a cold beer as you cheer on the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field!
My husband and I have already started blocking of days for our summer dates and arranging babysitters for the kiddos so we can enjoy being adults for a night or two.
