Let’s Play Comes to Indianapolis!
On Wednesday, June 28, Indianapolis Moms Blog will be teaming up with Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and over 200 volunteers to build a playground and pack sports equipment for Emma Donnan Elementary and Middle School in, get this, JUST ONE DAY! We are beyond thrilled to be part of the Let’s Play Indianapolis Build Day.
What is Let’s Play?
Let’s Play is an initiative by Dr Pepper Snapple Group that encourages and provides the tools for families to ensure that active and safe play is a priority. Through its partnership with KaBOOM! and Good Sports, Dr Pepper Snapple Group builds playgrounds and provides sports equipment in underserved communities around the country. Since the launch of this program in 2011, Dr Pepper Snapple Group has provided more than 10 million children with safe, accessible playgrounds and sports equipment to encourage active play within their cities and towns.
Let’s Play Indianapolis is this Wednesday, June 28 at Emma Donnan Elementary and Middle School. The day will consist of constructing the new playground, packing sports equipment from Good Sports that will benefit several local area organizations, and interacting with local families from the Indianapolis area. The day will end with a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the new playground and sports equipment donations that will allow local Indianapolis children the opportunity for active play in their community.
We are so excited to be able to participate in the Let’s Play Indianapolis Build Day! But we are even more excited to see the priceless reactions of the sweet faces that will get to enjoy this new playground and sports equipment for years to come.
