rev_math_logo-main_01Fact #1:  Math was not my jam while in school.  I have never been able to successfully finagle the numbers and symbols and signs with ease like I could with my words and writing.

Fact #2:  I also may have had to take Algebra II twice in high school.  Yes.  True story.

Fact#3:  One day in my near future I will have to help my children with their math homework and it gives me heart palpitations and flashbacks to when I was told that I had to take Algebra II over again.

Luckily there are people and programs out there to help with these problems.  As a teacher myself, I have discovered that the way the curriculum is presented greatly impacts how children connect to their learning and helps them better understand the material.  And that’s why I love Revolution Math.

What exactly is Revolution Math you may be asking?

It is an online, adventure-based learning after-school activity for students in grades 2-5.  The program is interactive and highly participatory, which deeply engages students, creating an interest and love for math right from the beginning!  The curriculum is story-based and character-driven, and students earn points as they progress which can be redeemed for real-world prizes! Plus, you don’t have to leave your home or spend an arm and a leg on expensive learning centers. Students want to do the work that Revolution Math provides while parents love watching their children grow from the experience.

So, how do I get started?

It’s super easy!  Begin by going to Revolution Math’s website – www.revolutionmath.com where you will register for your FREE 4-week trial.  Your child and three other students will meet once a week with their professional teacher in an online interactive classroom.  Work is done at home and on the computer, which is another great feature of Revolution Math.  The online component lets your children do the program anywhere with an internet connection!

Once you enroll, your child will receive their personalized welcome kit, which is so cool and filled with all sorts of awesome stuff they can use to enhance their academic experience. Students will then begin learning math concepts and working through the lessons all while plunging into an interactive adventure where they practice their math concepts and skills to solve the problems.

I am excited to have found a program that will spike the interest of my son as he grows as a math student.  As a student who once struggled to find the meaning in math as well as a teacher who strives to create meaningful connections on a daily basis, I love to see a program that inspires students to have fun learning math.
