In a playgroup with seven little ones under the age of one, it’s essential that any crafts we do are capable of being created one-handed. It’s a bonus if they are also cute, easy and cheap. This year’s easy Easter crafts ticked every box and are adorable enough to adorn the walls for years to come.
Baby Feet Carrots:
Materials Needed:
-Green construction paper
-White construction paper
-A book or something with a firm backing
-Scissors
-Glue gun and glue
-Spongy paintbrush
-Washable orange paint
-A damp paper towel
How To:
Since several of the little ones in our group are not sitting up on their own, we found it easiest to put each baby in the Bumbo seat as we began. It’s also helpful to have the damp paper towel handy so you can immediately remove any excess paint once you’re done. With the baby sitting independently, use the paintbrush to paint the bottom of your baby’s feet orange. Next, put the white construction paper on top of the book and firmly press each of your baby’s feet on to the paper. Set the foot prints aside and wait for them to dry. While you’re waiting for them to dry, cut the green construction paper into thin strips. Ours were roughly 1/4″ by 3.” Once the foot prints are dry, cut them out. Finally, glue the green construction paper strips to the back of the foot prints. Ta-da, you’re all done!
Cotton Ball Bunnies
Materials Needed:
-White construction paper
-Pink construction paper
-A book or something with a firm backing
-Spongy paintbrush
-Washable pink paint
-Scissors
-A 4×6 or 5×7 close-up photo of your child
-10-15 cotton balls
-Glue gun and glue
How To:

With the baby sitting independently, use the paintbrush to paint the bottom of your baby’s feet pink. Next, put the white construction paper on top of the book and firmly press each of your baby’s feet on to the paper. Set the foot prints aside and wait for them to dry. While you’re waiting for them to dry, fold the pink construction paper in half and outline pink bunny ears along the crease. Cut out the bunny ears. Next, cut out the photo of your child’s face and glue the bunny ears to the backside of the photo. Take your cotton balls and gently pull them apart. Glue the cotton around the outside of the ears and the outline of your child’s face. Next, cut out an oval from the white construction paper to serve as the bunny’s body. Glue your child’s photo the oval and then cover the construction paper with cotton. Once the footprints are dry, cut them out and glue them to the bunny’s body.
Crating with your little one can be entertaining, especially if you have other mommas around to help share in the fun.
