Ladies, I’m here to tell you it’s time to put away your leggings and oversized sweatshirts. Athleisure had its moment, I too was here for it, but it’s time to move on to cuter options.

If you’re struggling to hang up your Lulu leggings, you can at least start with a structured pair of joggers. I always go with black but hey, we’ve been leading a very limited life this past year, so if you’re feeling something bolder, go for it. Add a graphic tee or cute tank, layer on a jean jacket, and complete with Birkenstocks or Vans and you have yourself a cute, casual look. If Lululemon isn’t in your price range, Amazon offers an excellent dupe of the Lulu joggers (I have both and can attest that they’re both cute AF). Same look, only $84 cheaper.

You can elevate this look with accessories or heels for date night. All you’ll need are some hoops, a statement necklace, and a cute clutch. Add a pop of matte color (get yourself some NYX Matte lip cream) on your lip to really add some oomph to your less casual look as well.

For those of you who are over your athleisure, I highly suggest you try high-waisted skinny jeans. I purchased the Old Navy High-Waisted Rock Star Super Skinny jean and have zero regrets. They keep everything in and it’s another piece that can easily go from casual to date night. Both vibes look really cute with the aforementioned graphic tee or basic tank under a casual blazer or cropped cardigan, both from Evereve (I’m obsessed). I differentiate from day to night by merely by swapping out shoes and necklaces, cute sneakers for casual, and wedges for night.

Finally, what I’m about to share with you, is the cutest, most flattering, and comfy dress out there. I even made sure to buy a few more, just in case ya’ll go crazy and buy them out. Enter the Reverie dress by ZSupply. I cannot stress how much I love this dress. It’s so easy to create different looks with it by elevating with different accessories (pile on those statement bracelets for day), by knotting it at the front for a whole other vibe, or adding cute flat sandals for night. Again, a blazer, cropped cardi, or denim jacket will keep you warm and looking pulled together.

To recap, these are the important pieces you need to get you out of the boring ’20s and get you looking fresh in 21 (most items can be found at Target if you’re watching your wallet or Evereve if you like to spend coins):

  • Denim jacket
  • Blazer
  • Cropped cardi
  • Joggers
  • High-waisted skinny jeans
  • Graphic tee’s
  • Basic tanks

Any questions, drop them in the comments and I’ll give you my best advice.
