Hi! I’m Indianapolis Mom, Emily! I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Dustin, and we have two boys (Dylan-12 and Tyler-8). We have lived in Brownsburg for the past 15 years (and we love it here!) I’ve lived on the westside of Indy all of my life, and we love the rural feel, but easy access to the city. You can usually catch our family doing some type of outdoor activity–generally hiking, biking, swimming, really anything where we can get fresh air and be active!

I wear many hats in addition to wife and mom. I am also a nonprofit professional, mental health advocate, Whole30 Certified Coach, Fitness Instructor, Self Care Coach, and Host of The Self Care Isn’t Selfish Podcast.  (Whew, that’s a lot!)

I started my own health journey in 2015. I finally decided I was done feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, sugar obsessed, and stressed, and guilty when I wanted to take time for myself. I needed to figure out a way to make self care a priority in my life. I did my first Whole30 and figured out how to fuel my body and enjoy sweets instead of abusing them. I started filling my mind with only positivity and focused on personal development. I then found my tribe of other like-minded women and began to flourish.

Through conversations with other moms, I realized they felt the same way I had and needed help. I now help other women create their own sustainable and straightforward self-care routine through my coaching program and showcase guests on my podcast to help inspire women to find their version of self-care. Because I get it, mommin’ ain’t easy, but by making yourself a priority, it helps make being a mom a little bit easier.
