Meet Our Indianapolis Moms: Terri Salinas

0

Hey friends! I’m Terri. A wife, mom, nurse, friend, and overall hot mess. I live in Noblesville with my husband, Steven, and daughters, Isla and Isabelle! I have a busy household with two under two and an energetic dog, named Domer. My hands are full, but so is my heart!

I am originally from the west suburbs of Chicago. I found my way to Indiana when I attended Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame. I fell in love with the campus and later found love! (If you’re familiar with the South Bend area, my husband and I met at the Linebacker!) As a registered nurse, I have experience in oncology, pediatrics, and family medicine. But my favorite specialty is obstetrics/women’s health.

Besides writing for Indianapolis Moms, I am also the voice behind A Cup of Motherly. It is a lifestyle blog focusing on motherhood and beauty! I love sharing my story in motherhood because I believe we have a lot to learn from each other. My journey in motherhood has been challenging and overwhelming, but it brings me so much joy. I wear a lot of hats, but this hat, my mama hat is the one I wear the best. I thank God every day for my two beautiful daughters. I found love, now I have experienced how love can grow. If there is anything that motherhood has taught me so far, it is to give yourself some grace. You’re doing the best you can. Your babies need a happy and healthy mama! So let go and let life!

Keep in mind that what I share is just a highlight reel of my life. I am not perfect, and I am no expert in motherhood. I have a messy house, piles of dirty laundry, and a tantrum-throwing toddler who I bribe to get a picture for the ‘gram. Besides, I’m just your average girlfriend wondering when it’s ok to drink a glass of wine.

I love reruns of Friends and watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I prefer Dunkin’ over Starbucks, and coffer over tea. Shopping is my primary type of cardio, although I do enjoy Solid Core or Barre classes now and then.

You may find me chasing my toddler down the aisles of Target or passionately singing the Moana soundtrack in my minivan. If you were to see me around town, don’t be afraid to say hi! I’m trying to figure out this mommy thing too!
