Last weekend was a busy one!  If you are anything like me, I’m all about keeping the kids busy especially when it supports the community here in Indianapolis.  Here is a weekend round-up of some of the fun we had this weekend!

ICE All-Stars

picture1Got a little cheerleader or dancer?  You’re in luck!  The 20th anniversary of ICE All-stars, a competitive cheer program that serves over 900+ athletes, celebrated this weekend with a free open-house event for the public as they moved into their new 43,000 sq. ft. facility in Westfield. ICE offers programs in cheerleading, tumbling, dance and a special ninja program, in a variety of levels with classes starting at age 3.

img_0349ICE teams consistently finish at the top in local and national competitions and their Level 5 Worlds teams place in the Top Ten at the USASF Cheerleading World Championships year after year.  ICE is offering a free trial cheer class – tell them Indy Mom’s Blog sent you.

Princess Academy    img_0334

The second annual Princess Academy took place this weekend; this super-cute event put on by Carmel High School choir offers your little ones a chance to be a princess for the day for a $30 price tag.  It’s ideal for every little princess in your household! Children age 4 and up took pictures with all the Disney princesses, created their own wands, played games, they painted nails and did their hair, learned a song and dance and had professional pictures taken throughout the day and a password protected site where you could download the pictures for FREE! The best part — you drop them off at 1 and come back at 3:45 for a performance including the little ones!  Seriously, can’t handle the cuteness!

Amazing! A win-win for theimg_0314-1 parents and thimg_0316e kids! I was blown away how much fun the girls had; the Carmel Choirs did an outstanding job organizing this event and I highly recommend it! Join the group for their Holiday Spectacular November 30th and December 1-4, tickets and information can be found at carmelchoirs.org.

Beef & Boards is a fabulous place to take the kids if you haven’t yet. I took my girls to the early morning showing of The Little Mermaid. The one hour show comes with a snack and juice and is the perfect way to introduce your children to the theater! Tickets for the children’s theater are $16.50 with showings on Friday at 10:00 am and Saturday 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.  It was the perfect event to start off the weekend!

After the show patrons may get autographs and take pictures with the actors! Pinkalicious and Pinocchio are featured children’s performances coming up so book your seats now!

These are just a few of our favorite local events from our weekend round-up.  What are some of your favorites for your family?
