Meet Our Indianapolis Moms: Sierra Sullivan

Hey Indianapolis Moms! I’m Sierra, a working mom trying to find my own rhythm as I navigate through motherhood.

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, growing up on the northeast side of the city. Now, my family and I reside in Fishers. We love our community and all that is has to offer! I am most passionate about are my faith and my family. They are the driving force behind everything I do.

My husband and I just celebrated eight years of marriage, and we’ve been together for almost a decade! Even though we got married in our early twenties, I always like to say we grew up together. In our ten years together, we’ve experienced the highs and lows of adulthood and have matured into the people we are today. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him, and I know he would say the same about me.

We have two children, a 4-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter, that bring so much light and joy to our lives. We couldn’t imagine life without them! Both kids love to be outdoors, so we often find ourselves enjoying family walks and exploring Flat Fork Creek Park in Fishers. It’s become one of our new favorite places.

I am a homebody by nature. Don’t get me wrong, I like to see new places, but I love spending time in and around my house. It truly is my favorite place to be! In my free time, I enjoy a good Netflix series, listening to podcasts, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

After the birth of my son, I started a personal blog as a way to document my journey through motherhood and all the things that I was learning along the way. Over the last three years, writing has become a form of self-expression and self-care for me. It’s helped me to process the ups and downs of motherhood. I’m proud to be apart of the Indianapolis Moms community and the opportunity it gives me to share a little bit of my story with you.
